Who We Are -What We Do

At XYZ Tutoring, we believe that every student has the potential to succeed—with the right support, encouragement, and approach. Since 2019, we’ve been helping students from 1st grade through college master the subject, improve their grades, and—most importantly—believe in themselves.

We go beyond surface-level tutoring. Each lesson is tailored to the individual student’s learning style, pace, and academic goals. We work directly with their school curriculum, while incorporating our own trusted resources and strategies to reinforce understanding and fill in the gaps. Whether it’s prepping for a quiz, catching up in class, or reaching for higher goals, our sessions are structured to build clarity, confidence, and independence.

I’m the co-founder of XYZ Tutoring and currently work as an Integrity Engineer, where I apply problem-solving and analytical skills to help keep systems safe and efficient. I earned my degree in Engineering Physics, and I’ve always enjoyed exploring how math and science connect to real-life situations.

Hello there! My name is Alana, a graduate from the University of Colorado. In my own life, I’ve had wonderful mentors and tutors who contributed immensely towards both my academic and professional growth. Henrietta Adufu

I’m the co-founder of XYZ Tutoring and a passionate STEM educator with a degree in Applied Mathematics and Chemistry, along with a Business minor. Since 2019, I’ve been helping students from 1st grade through college master challenging subjects, build confidence, and reach their full potential. My mission is simple: make learning enjoyable, and empower every student to grow beyond where they are.

Richard Acheamfour

My name is Richard Acheamfour, and I’m currently a Biology student at CCD. Even though I’m studying science, math has always been my favorite subject—a passion that started back in high school. I studied Mathematics for a year at KNUST in Ghana. That year deepened my love for math and set me on a path to help others. I’ve had the opportunity to tutor several students in math, and it’s something I truly enjoy. I’m especially passionate about helping those who struggle with the subject—not just to improve their skills, but to actually fall in love with math. I believe math is a powerful tool that can boost a student’s confidence and even strengthen their understanding in other subjects.

Hilda Ofori-Addo

My name is Hilda Ofori-Addo, and I’m currently working as a civil engineer. I earned my undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, and went on to complete my master’s at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Beyond engineering, I’ve always had a love for math and have enjoyed the opportunity to teach and mentor children over the years. My goal is to help kids develop a love for math too, as I truly believe it’s the foundation for strong academic success.
